FyPDFs · Who it's for
Whoever has a PDF to deal with.
Forms that want one file under a size. Notes to put in order. A draft to stamp. Records to keep. Here are the jobs, by the situation they turn up in.
By situation
Six situations, and the tools for each.
01Applying for something
The visa, job or college form wants every document as one PDF, under a size, and your photo of a certificate counts as a document.
02Studying and teaching
Lecture notes in five files, a thesis that needs page numbers, slides to drop into a presentation as pictures.

05Keeping records
Scans nobody can search, an archive that wants PDF/A, an old download that won't open, a locked file you have the password for.
06Design and the web
A page as a crisp PNG, margins trimmed for print, a saved web page as a PDF, a sideways scan turned upright.
